Sketching from DVD - 2046

A few sketches from a restaurant a few nights ago and a quick color study from the movie 2046. I'm trying to find the balance that will allow me to use realistic color and details with stylized proportions and still feel correct. Usually when I try this it just looks like the proportions are off instead of looking like intentional stylization.

Drawing Club 06/15

Went to the drawing club for the first time in a few months. Had fun but I'm a little rusty. The theme was dock worker though some of my sketches started leaning more towards a pirate theme...

Study from Toppi 06/04

Picked up a little inspiration at the Pasadena Antiquarian Book Fair this weekend. The sketch on the left is a study from Shiraz-De, a graphic novel by Sergio Toppi, and the one on the right is an attempt to draw my Shaman character from RuneQuest in Toppi's style.
